Get off on the right foot

Kids are constantly growing. It’s crazy! The first step (pun intended) for finding the right shoe is to know your child’s shoe size. The length and width of the foot are important to know… And measure often. Kids’ feet can grow a half size every 2-4 months! We highly recommend measuring at least every 4-6 months to ensure they are in the most comfortable size shoe for them.

It’s important to have the right size shoes. A few tips to help:

• Don’t just rely on the labelled size, brands and styles may vary.
• Make sure the shoes fit a little bigger – about half an inch of additional room is optimal. (For Babies and new walkers, they need less room and a perfect fit.)
• Wear the right socks (keep reading for our selection) when measuring and trying on shoes.
• Don’t just hold the sole of the shoe to your child’s foot. The build of the shoe on the inside makes the shoe fit smaller (lining and material) so this method of measuring is not accurate.
